Vintage Fritz Hansen

I spent most of Saturday restoring these three vintage Fritz Hansen chairs. They are the series 7 chairs, originally designed by Arne Jacobsen. I love the iconic shape, and together with the Super Elliptical dining table (Piet Hein for Fritz Hansen) they are my favourite. The table is also secondhand; it had been in one family for over twenty years and now hopefully in my home for the next twenty.

Have a lovely week ahead!

CULT 20

(This post is a little late, but I'm catching up on a huge backlog of posts!)

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending the CULT 20 event that celebrated the extended showroom and the 20th anniversary of Cult. Cult hosts some of my all time favourite brands, including Fritz Hansen, Louis Poulsen and Carl Hansen & Son. With the extended showroom these brands, along with many others, are getting the breathing space they deserve.

The new showroom is airy and structured, and I loved the subtle branding and clever use of the space. The brands flow from one to another, each completing a story. Some of these pieces I've never seen "in flesh", so it felt like I was in a room full of celebrities!

Thank you Cult for having me and here's to another 20 years!

A New Week

Happy Monday!

I'm excited to start a new week and looking forward to finalising some unfinished projects this week. This is the colour palette that I'm loving at the moment. Soft tones of timber, beige and grey work so well especially in summer. I still have a few black details here and there, the Artek bar stools and the Design House Stockholm wall rack in our kitchen, for example. With the new floors the overall look of our home is about to get even lighter!

Have a lovely week and follow me on Instagram (if you like!) for more photos and inspiration!
