Balcony makeover

Those of you who follow me on Twitter might've noticed how much I've been anticipating to get a makeover on my balcony. The wait is finally over and I am so happy to be able to share some photos of the new balcony with you! I am still putting in a few finishing touches and once these are in I will post more photos and give you a bit more detail on what we've actually done.

Thank you so much Chris and Brent for making this happen!

Here's my balcony before... Sad little thing.

And this is my balcony after the make-over! I am over the moon!

More details and photos to follow!

  30. I love it! We have the MOST HIDEOUS balcony in the world. It's long and narrow which is fine, but has no shade and faces due north...melty! I want to grow some things on it, but have no idea what is good for such direct sunlight.

  50. What a wonderful transformation! I LOVE it. We always excuse we don't have a big yard or (in our case) deer will eat it, etc etc.... but it's only excuse. You made such a beautiful balcony utilizing a small area and turning it into an oasis. i am sure you are even more excited about cooking using all these herbs! I wish I live right next door so I can "borrow" your herbs... ;-)

  58. Thank you all!

Laura: The white pots are light-weight fibreglass pots. Check online, there are a few distributors in Sydney. You can order online and get them delivered. They are perfect for balconies because they are so light.
