Berry Sourdough Bakery and Cafe

I had heard about this bakery in Berry and I was really looking forward to visiting it. It proved to be much more than I was ever expecting though! What a wonderful place; it has so much real character that is usually so hard to find!

The bakery is tucked away from the main street of Berry, but it really didn't seem to be hard for anyone to find it. We were there for breakfast just before 8 am (the cafe opens at 8), and by 8.30 the place was packed! I can understand why for not only this place has a lovely atmosphere with soft French music, rustic looks and smell of freshly baked bread, it also offers mouth watering food and the best coffee around! I was really blown away by this place and having breakfast here made the whole day!

The bakery is located in a heritage building with the cutest wavy floors

The famous woodfired oven

The bakery sells European style pastries and woodfired sourdough breads along with other products, such as woodfired toasted musli.

Mmm, delicious cappuccino

Creamy scrambled eggs on sourdough bread with cured salmon... sooooo good!

Eggs Benedict with the creamiest poached eggs, Bearnaise sauce and cured salmon - Delish!

This is definitely a cafe I want to return to!
